Problems of sustainable development of socio-economic and ecological systems have been the focus of international, national organizations and scientists and have been subjected to various studies. It is necessary to use a socio-ecological model of the integral risk index and analyze ways to convolute private indicators and consider the possibility of taking into account multiple risk factors. The result of the research is scientific justification to use multiple-choice models in order to develop the integral index of social and environmental risk area.

The author represents the steps to develop methodology for assessing social, environmental and economic development in accordance with international recommendations, and proves the importance of each subsystem. Special attention is paid to interpretation of thresholds in integrated assessment of sustainable development at industrial enterprises.
