THE INNOVATIVE DIRECTION OF THE BUSINESS SECTOR IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
The article illustrates the dynamics of innovative entrepreneurship in the Russian Federation, the structure of organizations performing scientific research and development by sectors of activity, by types of organizations, and sets conclusions about the vector of their functioning. The problematic aspect of the functioning of knowledge-intensive enterprises is the reduction of the innovation activity in the business sector in conjunction with the strengthening of the state and university sectors of science, thereby increasing the importance of state support for private enterprises.
