DEVELOPMENT FACTORS OF GAS EXPORT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM OF RUSSIA
On the basis of empirical and statistical data the article reveals the internal and external development factors of the gas transportation system, and the extent of their influence. The authors offer such domestic factors as the increase of commercial reserves of natural gas, the capacity of pipelines, the environment, scientific and technological progress, the demand for gas by domestic consumers, the ratio of domestic and export prices for natural gas, the level of workers’ skills and state regulation of the export market. As external factors the authors highlight the political factor, the level of foreign investment, international energy security, the demand of importing countries, and the economic interests of the transit countries, and they also analyze the theory upon which the factors are based.
