DEVELOPMENT OF PASSENGER WATER TRANSPORT AS A GROWTH FACTOR OF PASSENGER CAPACITY GRP IN THE SAMARA REGION
The paper analyzes the strategic role of water passenger transport system in development of the
Samara region. The article illustrates reserves for sustainable economic growth in the region at the
expense of passenger water transport. The passenger water transport system is represented as a
territorial institution; it is shown its role in solving problems of social and economic development
and improvement of region’s competitiveness in the global economy.
