ECONOMIC RESTRUCTURING NEEDS OF RUSSIAN CITIES
The paper analyses the economic structure of Russian cities and the process of restructuring over the period of 1990-2013. The author identifies the disparities in the existing economic structure of the cities and its inconsistency with the modern trends of urbanization and social and economic needs of the population. Based on the analysis of global and Russian economic processes the article illustrates modernization needs of the economy in Russian cities.
