Samara Economic University of Economics, the Volga Basin Ecology Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Togliatti), the Institute of Sustainable Development to the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, UNESCO Chair "Studying and conservation of ecosystem biodiversity of the Volga basin" to IEVB of the Russian Academy of Sciences supported by the Russian Humanitarian Scientific Fund (project 14-02-14009) and the Samara region government held the International conference "Innovative approaches to providing sustainable development of socio-eco-economic systems" in Samara and Togliatti on May, 19-21, 2014; the information support was carried out by the interdisciplinary scientific and applied journal "Biosphera" (St. Petersburg), "Vestnik Samara State University of Economics" (Samara) and the natural-science journal "Samarskaya Luka: the problems of regional and global ecology" (Togliatti).
