MODEL OF A SOCIALLY-ACTIVE UNIVERSITY AS A POSSIBILITY TO ACCOMPLISH "THE THIRD ROLE" OF A HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION
The article covers the transition to new socially-active university model. The concepts "the third role" and "social responsiveness of a higher education institution" are revealed; the experience in implementation of socially-active university model in Russia and abroad is analyzed.
