CONCEPTS CONCERNING THE CAUSES OF PUGACHEV REBELLION IN 1773-1775 IN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY OF RUSSIAN NOBILITY IN THE LAST THIRD OF THE 18 TILL THE BEGINNING OF THE 19 CENTURY
The article is dedicated to the ideas of Russian nobility concerning the causes of the rebellion lead by E.I.Pugachev in 1773-1775. Using memoir and epistolary sources the author has reconstructed points of view of the nobility; different approaches to interpretation and origin of the term "pugachevschina" are singled out.
