M.A. Kachkovskiy

The article is based on the survey of 417 patients - 163 women, 254 men aged from 35 to 89. The diagnosis was made on the base of clinical, laboratory and instrumental research. Questionnaires on quality of life and psychometric scales were used. Statistic work was done with the help of SPSS 11.0 applied programs. The results showed that the quality of life of myocardial infarction patients is lower in comparison with the people from control group. People, having myocardial infarction for the second time, have much lower quality of life because of the aggravation of impaired cardial function, stenocardia and heart rhythm disturbance. Serious complications worsen the clinical course of myocardial infarction and decrease the quality of patients’ life. Myocardial infarction patients often have depression, considerably decreasing the quality of life. It is necessary to treat impaired cardial function and make the correction of depressions in order to increase the quality of life of myocardial infarction patients.
