Natural and climatic conditions of Russian Federation make for the great fluctuations of food production in agriculture. There is a necessity to create reserve stocks of production in order to stabilize the fluctuations of the food market. The article suggests the method of assessing the reserve stocks; the stocks of grain and meat are evaluated in all the regions of Russian Federation.
