RETAIL TRADE, CULTURAL LANDSCAPE AND PHENOMENON "FOOD DESERT"

The authors consider the peculiar phenomenon of developed countries “food desert”, reflecting the difficulties in physical and economic access to food. It is shown that imbalances in the territorial organization of the retail sale of food affect the development of cities and regions, the cultural landscape, the life of the population, and they change the structure of the consumer environment.
