The applied aspect of the linguocultural approach to the study

In the framework of the linguocultural approach  culture and language are regarded as an integral unity. The necessity of the study of the lexico-phraseological language fund is substantiated. It is stated that lexico-grammatical material should be grouped in the form of linguocultural scenarios and the advantages of such forms are described. It is indicated that the use of linguocultural scenarios can increase  learners’  cultural awareness and language competence .
The article is addressed to university teachers and students.
