In conditions of the increasing mobility and improving the technology, the competitiveness of enterprises depends on the quality, performance and flexibility of human resources, and the advanced countries have already acknowledged this. The leading Western experts say that with the developed countries entrance in the post-industrial era, human capital will become increasingly important. This understanding is, in fact, nothing but a reflection of the new role and mans place in the modern capitalist production. The articles aims is to analyze what is the difference of the traditional areas of manufacturing from innovative and what qualities the potential workforce must have to be competitive in changing conditions.
